The best summary of this article I can write is that to interpret the law according to standards of the past is dogma. The same dogma that allowed the catholic church to rule Europe for hundreds of years and impose “laws” in society through its bishops, deacons, and priests.
It’s the first imperceptible step towards a Handmaid’s Tale-esque dystopian future ruled by religious “Conservatives” with a strange obsession for blurring the lines between church and state. That is the biggest valid point of this article. Everything else is fluff.
